About

The cottage dates back to the first half of the 19th Century and sits in its own plot just about in the middle of the quiet, pretty village of Dalton. The village has a pub and a cricket pitch and no less than 3 churches.

We have sympathically brought ‘Number 5’ up to date since we bought it in 2010 to make it a comfortable and cosy base for your holiday. The cottage now has gas central heating, a well equipped kitchen diner. The living room and bedrooms have been furnished to provide luxury accomodation and a ‘home from home’ experience with digital TV, DVD and iPod player. The bathroom is small but we hope perfectly formed! ‘Number 5’ has a secure back garden and the benefit of a garage should you need it. There is ample room for 2 cars directly in front of the cottage, off the road.

The garden is ‘work in progress’ and we will continue to improve the outdoor space over this Winter.

Dogs are welcome but we would ask that you don’t allow your pets on the furniture or in the bedrooms. If you are going out for the day without your pet, please consider using the kennel in the garage as this will prevent any chewing incidents in the house (yes, we have a dog too!) and will be a much cooler option than sitting in a hot car.

Number 5 is a non smoking holiday home.

We have only just begun to let Number 5 as a  holiday cottage;  we hope we’ve managed to provide everything you’ll want and we are keen to hear your feedback, as it will help us to make any improvements.
